Privacy

What this site collects, in plain words.

Short version: very little, and none of it is sold. Last updated October 27, 2026.

Forms

Two forms exist: “Tell me which rock you moved” on the reset page and “Tell me when it’s out” for the new book. Netlify Forms handles them and stores what you typed, your email if you gave one, and the time you sent it, so I can read and answer. An email address is used to reply to you or to send the launch note you asked for, nothing else. It is never sold, rented, or added to a list you did not ask for. To have a submission deleted, reply to any message you received from me, or send a new form saying “delete” with the same email, and it is gone within a week.

Analytics

Visits are counted on the server by Netlify Analytics, which reads server logs instead of setting cookies and shows page counts, countries, and referrers, not people. Netlify’s Real User Monitoring script measures how fast pages load in your browser and reports anonymous timing numbers. There are no advertising pixels, no social media trackers, and no cookies set by this site.

Links to Amazon

Buy buttons go to Amazon, where Amazon’s privacy policy applies, not this one.

Hosting

The site is served by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for a limited time for security and operations, as every host does.

Questions

Use the form on the reset page and say it is a privacy question. A person reads it.
